PDP Shikshya is the flagship education platform of Prabha Digital Partners (PDP). It is built in Nepal by a team with software engineering, artificial intelligence, and IT experience, and it is designed around Nepal's own educational landscape — its curriculum, its classrooms, and the way its schools actually work — rather than adapted from software written for another country.

Accounts are created by your school — you don't sign up yourself. A super admin runs the platform and sets up each school (tenant) and its first admin; a school admin runs the whole school; a department admin manages one department; teachers run their classes; students learn and practise; and parents follow their own children. You'll receive an email and a one-time password to change on first login.

On the sign-in screen, choose “Forgot your password?”. You'll get a reset link by email (in demo mode the link is shown on screen). Admins can also reset a user's password from the Users console.

No. In Learn mode it guides you with questions and hints and cites your curriculum; in Exam mode it stays strictly within the loaded curriculum. Equations are highlighted, there's a full-screen mode, and your chat history follows you across devices. The goal is genuine understanding, not copy-paste answers.

Yes. Answers are grounded in Nepal's Curriculum Development Centre (CDC) curriculum and in your school's own approved books. Before replying, the platform searches that loaded textbook material and builds the answer from what it finds, then cites the book, chapter, and page so a student or teacher can check the source. A question outside the loaded syllabus is deflected instead of answered. The alignment comes from looking up your curriculum at the moment the question is asked — there is no separate model trained on it.

No. The AI takes over repetitive administrative work — drafting worksheets and question papers, preparing lesson plans, pulling together reports and attendance — so teachers get more time to teach. Teachers stay at the centre of every feature: they review, edit, and approve whatever the AI drafts, and the AI assists rather than decides. Grades, feedback, and every judgement about a child remain the teacher's.

It is treated as the school's data and handled accordingly. Direct identifiers — names, roll numbers, contact details — are removed or masked before an educational prompt is sent to an AI provider, as far as is technically feasible. Each school's records are kept logically separate from every other school's, access is limited by role, and every sign-in is logged. The platform runs on cloud infrastructure PDP Shikshya manages, and the school stays the owner of its records. Our Privacy page sets out exactly what we do and do not promise.

The school does. The school keeps all right and title to its records; we receive only the limited rights needed to run the service, and we do not sell school or student data or use it for unrelated commercial purposes. Each school's data is kept logically separate from every other school's, and the school decides who inside it sees what. We do not disclose school or student data to an AI provider for training publicly available models. A self-paced course library a school admin can switch on — over 110 courses and 3,700+ lessons. It covers academics by grade, SEE and NEB exam preparation, life skills and reading, and a full learn-to-code track (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, React, Node.js, C, C++, Java, TypeScript, PHP, Git & GitHub, Scratch, Linux, Go, Kotlin, data science, electronics and Arduino, and more). Each lesson has an “in simple words” explanation and an “explain each line” walkthrough, a “Try it Yourself” editor that runs HTML/CSS/JS, Python, SQL, and React live in the browser, per-lesson quizzes, progress tracking, and a searchable catalogue with category filters.

Quizzes aligned to your exact grade, subject, and topic, plus puzzles — word scramble, match-up, odd-one-out, and memory. You earn points and badges, with a daily check-in, a login streak, and a leaderboard. Questions come from a shared bank, so they appear instantly and you rarely repeat one.

Quizzes are generated for your exact grade and subject, aligned to the Nepal curriculum — so a Grade 9 quiz is pitched differently from a Grade 12 one. To keep things fast and cost-efficient, the platform reuses generated questions from a shared bank while still giving each student questions they haven't seen.

Yes — there's direct and group chat across students, teachers, and parents, with media, pinned messages, and search. Student-to-student chats are visible (read-only) to the student's teachers and admins for safety. The school timeline is a separate moderated feed where students can only post general, info, or alert items.

Yes. The calendar shows both Bikram Sambat (Nepali, the default) and Gregorian (AD) dates, with month and year views, so it fits how Nepali schools plan. You can switch between the two any time.

Everything important — homework, grades, announcements, messages, reminders — appears in the in-app activity centre and the notification bell. You can also opt into email, WhatsApp, or Viber, and per-user preferences let you choose exactly what you're alerted about.

Beyond the Socratic tutor, the Analog Handshake check asks students to photograph their handwritten working for tasks meant to be done by hand, so they show real effort rather than copying a finished answer. Digital Sunset also supports healthy screen-time limits and a nightly wind-down.

Two observation forms a teacher fills in — a Functional Profile and a Classroom Observation Checklist — that record how a child takes part in class: how they follow instructions, join activities, respond to sound, light and touch, and settle themselves. Kept in one place and written down early, those observations help a school see where a child could use support and start a conversation with a Special Educator and the family; school leadership sees the findings in a summary dashboard. It is off by default and is switched on for a school, and for particular grades, only when the school asks. It is explicitly non-diagnostic: it documents what a teacher observed so support can arrive in time — it does not screen, diagnose, label, or rank any child.

Yes. Our position is that a school should not have to change the way it works to fit the software. Grade and section structure, print templates for report cards, marksheets, receipts and other documents, school branding and colours, and which features are switched on are all set per school, and further customisation is part of the engagement. Onboarding, teacher training, and ongoing support come with the platform — we work with a school as a long-term technology partner, not a one-off supplier.
