Terms of Use

PDP Shikshya is operated by PDP Shikshya Pvt. Ltd., incorporated in Nepal. Schools subscribe under a signed Platform Subscription, Services & Data Protection Agreement. These terms explain in plain language what users may and may not do on the platform. If you are a school, the signed Agreement governs and takes precedence over this summary.

Accounts are created and managed by your school, not by us. Each user gets their own credentials. Keep your password confidential, use a strong one, do not share your account with anyone, and report suspected unauthorised access immediately to your school administrator. Your school is responsible for activity carried out through its users' accounts.

Schools get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable subscription licence to use the platform for their own internal educational purposes, for as long as their subscription is active. No ownership of the platform passes to the school or to any user.

Users and schools must not:

• sell, lease, sublicense, distribute or transfer access to the platform
• reverse engineer, decompile or try to derive the source code
• modify the platform or create derivative works from it
• remove copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices
• use the platform to build competing software
• run bots, crawlers or scraping tools against it without written permission
• interfere with security controls or circumvent technical restrictions
• carry out penetration testing without written consent
• post or send content that is unlawful, harassing, threatening or infringing

Student-to-student chats may be monitored by teachers for safety. A school may suspend or deactivate any user who breaches these rules, school policy or the law. We may also temporarily suspend an account or part of the service where reasonably necessary to protect security, investigate suspected misuse, comply with the law, or prevent harm — and we will tell the school before doing so, or promptly afterwards, where practicable.

The AI features exist to support learning — to explain concepts, encourage thinking, generate practice, suggest study plans and help teachers prepare lessons. They are not a replacement for teachers, for educational judgement, or for a student's own work.

AI can be wrong. Responses may be incomplete, out of date or unsuitable in a particular situation. Teachers should review AI-generated material where it matters educationally, important academic decisions should never rest on AI output alone, and everyone remains responsible for checking what the AI produces. Grading, curriculum delivery, assessment, supervision and disciplinary decisions stay with teachers and school administrators — nothing the AI generates is automatically an official educational decision.

Do not use the AI features to produce unlawful content, to harass or threaten anyone, to cheat where your school prohibits it, to create malicious software, to infringe someone's intellectual property, or to get around platform security. We may restrict AI access where that is needed to protect users or the platform.

Your school owns the data and content it and its users put into the platform — records, assignments, messages, uploads and the rest. We own the platform itself: the software, interfaces, analytics engines, AI prompt libraries, curriculum-mapping methods and related intellectual property. Using the platform does not transfer any of that to a school or a user, and all rights we have not expressly granted are reserved.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the platform without owing you anything for it.

We use commercially reasonable efforts to keep the platform reliably available, but it is provided on an "as available" basis and we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Interruptions can happen through maintenance, security events, telecom or internet outages, cloud infrastructure problems and events outside our control. The platform is under active development: features may be added, changed or retired, and where reasonably practicable we tell schools in advance about material changes affecting normal operation.

The platform is an educational technology service. Nothing in it is legal, medical, psychological, financial or any other kind of regulated professional advice, and it should not be relied on as such.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost goodwill or business interruption, and our total liability is capped as set out in the school's signed Agreement. Decisions users make on the basis of AI-generated responses remain the responsibility of the school and its staff.

When a school's subscription ends, subscription rights stop and user accounts may be disabled. On written request we make the school's data available for export, and afterwards delete or anonymise it as described in the Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve any dispute by negotiation, and may agree to mediation before going to court. Subject to any written arbitration agreement, the courts of Kathmandu (or of the school's area) have exclusive jurisdiction.
